The Racal Antennas range of broadband, tactical, omnidirectional discones can be used to cover the frequency range 30 to 1100 MHz either for general communication links or for surveillance purposes. All models pack down to small dimensions for easy stowage and transportation. The rod elements are made of hardened chrome molybdenum steel, zinc plated and chromated in olive green colour. They are easily assembled to the centre junction assembly by means of spring-loaded sockets and/or toggle operated can locks. Power handling is determined by the type of coaxial cable and connector which can be either BNC or N type. Antennas can be supplied with RG58, RG213 or Suhner K07252 coaxial cable. Power requirements should be specified when ordering. The antennas can be mounted on Racal series telescopic masts. Booms are available for mounting dual arrays.
The disc consists of six 1.08m single-section element rods and a cone of eight 2.08m two-section elements. The performance between 30 and 40 MHz can be enhanced by changing the cone configuration to four three-section elements of 3.08m. A 25 metre RG58 cable is supplied in the standard kit.
The disc consists of six single-section 370mm rods with eight 1.08m cone rods. A 15 metre RG213 coaxial cable is supplied in the standard kit.
This antenna has a solid disc of 250mm with eight 250mm cone elements. A 15 metre RG213 coaxial cable is supplied in the standard kit.
The disc consists of six 200mm elements with eight 525mm cone elements. A 15 metre RG213 coaxial cable is supplied in the standard kit.
