The 1604-908 Band 3+ Radio Relay Antenna is suitable for tactical deployment. It is of robust construction and is compatible with Racal Antennas telescopic mast series.  The antenna operates over the 1350 to 2690 MHz band (Band 3+) utilising a single feed. In addition to its outstanding electrical performance, its main features are lightweight rugged design, ease of use and low wind drag.  The design is based on a front-fed gridded parabola, including a proprietary wide band feed within a sealed unit. For ease of transportation the feed may be readily removed from the reflector.  The antenna is linearly polarised and horizontal or vertical alignment is selected by simple manual rotation of the reflector assembly at the top of the mast.

The gridded reflector is of welded aluminium construction with an integral mounting plate and a quick-release clamp to connect the feed. Two 40mm sockets are provided to facilitate rapid mast mounting and polarisation alignment.  For ease of transportation and stowage the 1604-910 has a two-piece reflector that offers the same electrical and mechanical specifications as the solid reflector version.
