Racal Antennas Limited has expanded its range of manpack antennas to include wideband models covering the 30-2500MHz frequency band. Racal Antennas Limited has many years of experience in design, development and manufacture of manpack/portable antennas for the military user. They have been developed after consultation with military users and radio manufacturers worldwide.
The 3500 and 3504 wideband tape antennas have been designed for manpack radio applications operating in the 30-512MHz and 100-400MHz frequency bands. Both antennas are constructed from a number of stainless steel tape elements, sheathed in a protective durable sleeving. This type of antenna is more suited for combat conditions where physical restriction on the user and radio is not desirable.
The 3505, 3510 and 3506 ultra wideband manpack antennas are suitable for software definable (SDR) radios for use in a network centric environment over the 225-1000MHz, 500-2500MHz and 1000-2500MHz frequency bands. The antenna is of dipole design which means that it will operate efficiently without the need for a groundplane. A flexible gooseneck is fitted as standard to enable the antenna to be angled to the ideal position when used in a manpack role.
The 3508 and 3509 manpack monopole antennas have been designed for manpack radio applications operating in the 225-450MHz and 420-450MHz frequency bands. A flexible gooseneck is fitted as standard to enable the antenna to be angled to the ideal position when used in a tactical role.
