Racal Antennas was formed in 1960 in Southampton, England, where the company designed and manufactured antenna products primarily for the UK MoD and also in support of the Racal Group requirements worldwide. Over the following years the company developed many products to meet the changing technical requirements experienced in the defence sector as digital radio, packet switched networks and satellite communications were introduced around the world. The company invested in development to ensure the latest technology was used in all its products. Today, Racal Antennas have designed products that are suitable to meet the technical demands of the latest Software Definable Radios requiring wideband and ultra wideband antenna products to enable the users the maximise the latest technology.
The company operates in the 1.6Mhz-5.4Ghz frequency bands with band specific products suited for HF, VHF and UHF or wideband products across all applications, in addition to products for wide area systems (line of sight antennas), and WLAN applications. The products can be field mounted on top of the company’s extensive range of telescopic masts up to heights of 50 metres.
